Welcome to the You’re Sweet Enough Dance Competition!

1. Who Can Take Part?

Anybody with a verifiable connection to a primary and secondary school in St Kitts and Nevis can enter the You’re Sweet Enough Dance Competition. So, if you fall into any of the following categories, you can enter this competition. 

  • A current student of a primary or secondary school in St Kitts and Nevis 
  • A parent of a current student 
  • A primary or secondary school teacher 
  • A principal of a primary or secondary school 
  • A past student of a primary or secondary school in St Kitts and Nevis 

All participants will represent a school and prizes will be awarded to schools and individual participants.  The primary and secondary schools with the most participation* will win prizes and so will individuals with the most public votes.  

 

 

*Participation will be determined as a percentage of the school population so as not to disadvantage small schools. 

2. What You Have to Do

All participants will have to learn the You’re Sweet Enough Dance, record themselves performing the dance to the You’re Sweet Enough jingle and then upload the recording for a public vote.   

To make your performance stand out, you can add some variation to the routine and use props that will enhance the message of the jingle.

Submissions open on: 1st November 2021 (you can submit your videos at the bottom of this page)

Submissions close – 21st November 2021

Public vote – 22nd November 2021 to 29th November 2021

3. The You're Sweet Enough Dance

We hope you enjoy learning the You’re Sweet Enough dance. To help you, we have a few resources below.  

  • If you need a copy of the jingle to learn and practise the dance, you can download it here.  

 

  • Tip: Learning the words to the jingle will help you master the dance routine as the movements convey the message of the jingle. You can familiarise yourself with the lyrics by watching the animation below. Use the lyrics as cues for the next move in the routine. 
  • You can watch volunteers performing the dance in the videos below 
4. Submitting Your Recording

 Below, you can submit your recording for the public vote and a chance to win! 

You can upload your videos from 1st November 2021.

The deadline for submissions is 21st November 2021.

Please note that it may take up to 48 hours for your video to appear on the voting website. 

5. Vote for your favorite dancer

Public vote – begins on the 22nd November 2021 and ends 29th November 2021 but you can still view uploaded videos before the day.
